Norse Airlines Baggage Allowance, also known as a luggage policy, is a restriction levied on bags per passenger on the flight. Norse Airlines Carry On Size & Weight Limits

Passengers are permitted to carry one personal item along with a cabin bag on board. This is included in your fare, meaning it is free of charge as long as it is under limits. The Norse Airlines baggage size for carry-on bags is 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm or 22” x 18” x 10 inches. On the other hand, a personal item should not measure more than 40 cm x 30 cm 15 cm or 15.5” x 11.5” x 5.5” as per the policies. According to the Norse Airlines baggage weight restrictions, the cabin bag should be under 10kg or 22 lbs. There is no weight limit on personal items. As mentioned previously, passengers do not have to pay a penny to carry a bag on board. However, this is not the case for Economy Light passengers. They have to purchase this service for a fee.

• It is not necessary to bring a suitcase or handbag as a cabin bag. You may bring a gift box or mini-board, but it should be under the Norse Airlines carry on size and weight limit. 
• Infants without a seat are not entitled to Norse Airlines baggage allowance. However, accompanying passing can pack a reasonable amount of baby food.

Restrictions On Liquid & Powdered-based Items

Liquid Items

• Baby food and milk for the duration of the flight. 
• Prescribed medicines for the trip with medical certificates or prescriptions. 

Powdered Items

Any powdered item or substance is allowed in flight cabins only if they are stored in a container under 350 ml capacity. Items over the limit are not allowed. However, you may bring medicines and baby formula over the stated limit. For medicines, you will require a valid medical certificate or prescription. 

Things NOT Allowed in Hand Luggage

Norse Airlines may not allow some items in hand luggage for many reasons, mainly because it can endanger the passenger’s safety. Some items have restrictions, while others are completely prohibited. Any item that can be used as a weapon or can harm passengers and crew members on board is not allowed at all. Items listed below are not allowed in carry-on bags:

• Guns, firearms, and devices capable of discharging projectiles.
• Imitation guns and toy guns. 
• Slingshots and catapults
• Disabling devices
• Items with sharp edges and pointy ends.
• Ammunitions
• Flammable gasses and liquids. 
• Fireworks
• Any other item that has potential use as a weapon. 

Norse Airlines Check in Baggage Allowance

Norse Airlines baggage weight limit for most of the fare should be under 23kg or 50 lbs. However, if you are flying in business or premium class, your bag can weigh up to 32kg or 70 lbs. In addition, the size of the checked bag should be 158cm / 62in (height + width + length). Bags over the limit incur extra charges. Depending on your fare type, you may get checked baggage included in your ticket. If not, you may have to pay a fee. Terms and Conditions of Norse Hold Luggage

As per the Norse Airlines baggage policy, the following conditions also apply to your checked bags. The airline will not accept any bag that doesn’t comply with what’s stated below. 

• A bag cannot weigh more than 32kg or 70 lbs or lighter than 2kg or 4 lbs. 
• The airline will not refund the baggage charges, and passengers cannot transfer their allowance to other passengers. 
• Every passenger is allowed to check in up to nine pieces of checked luggage. 
• Passengers can club their checked bags only on the same booking according to the baggage allowance of Norse Airlines.
• Bags over the Norse Airlines baggage policy are considered bulky items, and this will lead to additional charges. 
• A bag cannot measure more than 250 cm x 79 cm x 112 cm or  98” x 31” x 44” (L x H x W). The maximum circumference should not be more than 320 cm/ 126 in (L+W+H). 
• Passengers will have to notify the airline in advance regarding bringing bulky baggage. It can be sports equipment with a total dimensions of 250 cm or 98 inches.
•  In case the item is over 250 cm, pre-notify the airline at least two days before the departure date. You can contact the Customer Care agent for acceptance. 

Add Extra Baggage On Norse Flights

In case you require more than what is permitted, you can purchase extra baggage as per Norse Airlines baggage policy. You can add it during your booking or later through the “manage booking” page. So, you can include sports equipment, musical instruments, bulky items, or any other special item. Passengers are not allowed to upgrade their allowance later at the airport. However, please note that you will have to inform the airline in advance if you are checking in bigger items. Children Baggage Allowance Of Norse Airlines

Parents or guardians can check in one car seat and a stroller free of charge on Norse flights for infants and children between 2 and 11 years. You can use the stroller until the departure gate, but it will be put in the luggage compartment. It will be returned to you when you land the final destination or wherever you need it. Regulations for Booster Seats

Norse Airlines baggage policy permits the use of booster seats inside flight cabins. Passengers have to stow it in the overhead compartment when inside a taxi or plane and during landing. Remember that it still has to be stowed in the overhead compartment when the fasten seatbelt sign is turned on. So, instead of a cabin bag, you can take a booster seat on board. 

Infants with Seats

Infants flying with booked seats can sit in the car seat. However, it is necessary for the car seat to be approved by the international aviation regulators (EASA and FAA). The airline will not allow any unapproved child safety seat on board. If the child is over the age of two years, then he/she cannot use an infant car seat. 

Norse Airlines Baggage Policy

A special baggage is an item that does not meet the standard baggage requirements. It can be odd-shaped or heavy in size, exceeding weight and size limits, but not necessarily. It can have a different nature as well. Some examples of special items can be musical instruments, sports equipment, sports weapons & ammunition, etc. Specific regulations are applied to these items, some of which are explained below.

Musical Instruments

You can either carry your favorite instrument on board or submit it at the check-in counter. However, we recommend carrying fragile and valuable items on board to be extra safe. To carry the musical instrument in the flight cabin, it should meet the carry-on baggage allowance. The size should not be more than 90 x 35 x 20 cm and 10kg.  You can keep it in the overhead compartment.If the equipment is bigger in size, you can book an additional seat for it. Instruments like Guitars and Cellos come under this category. Otherwise, submit your instrument to the cargo department if it is under 320 cm/ 126 in (L+W+H). Just ensure that you inform the airline 48 hours before the day of travel.

Sports Equipment

Sports equipment is acceptable as a checked item when it is under 23kg or 50 lbs and 250 x 79 x 112 cm / 98 x 31 x 44 in (L x H x W). Such sporting items are gold equipment. Fishing rods, diving equipment, skis, and snowboards. You can pack items related to equipment only. However, it should not be over 320 cm or 126 inches in total dimensions. Contact the airline if the item is over the stated restrictions. 

Norse Airline Lost Baggage

Passengers are instructed to contact the baggage service agent at the respective airport if the baggage is lost or delayed upon arrival. These service desks can be located in the baggage hall. This way, you will create a Property Irregularity Report (PIR), and the concerned staff will issue a file reference number. This report is submitted to the tracing system, after which a thorough search for your bag will commence. Passengers can also submit a report for their delayed or lost bag. Afterward, passengers can track and manage it through the airline’s self-service portal.
