  • Passengers can only purchase three extra bags at a discount. After purchasing three bags, the airport charges will apply to any bag added. Also, one passenger can check up to 10 bags only.

Icelandair Baggage Allowance for Musical Instruments

It will be regarded as medium sports equipment if it weighs more than 45-70 lbs (21-32 kg).

Hunting Gears: Explosive ammunition and hunting gears are prohibited in Icelandair, but a passenger can carry them in some exceptional cases. Domestic flight passengers can add their hunting gear directly from the online service or at the airport. International flight passengers will have to inform the airline about the booking and the quantity of the ammunition to the airline at least 48 hours before the departure. These hunting gears will count as free baggage. If the gear is checked as extra luggage, a weapon fee will be applicable at the airport.
