Aegean Carry On Baggage Allowance

Passengers are allowed to carry enough baggage as their cabin luggage. Aegean Air Economy Class offers many cabin fares such as Light, Flex, Family, ComfortFlex & Saver Fare. Additionally, the baggage allowance varies depending on the cabin fare selected.

Economy Class Light Fare: Passengers traveling with Light Fare in an Economy Class are allowed to carry a maximum of one piece of cabin baggage inside the cabin. Passengers must ensure that the luggage does not exceed the weight of 8 kg and must be up to 56 x 45 x 25 cm in size dimensions. Also, the hand luggage must fit appropriately inside the overhead bin or one personal item, such as a handbag, small laptop backpack, etc., that must fit under the seat in front of the passenger. 

Economy Flex/Family/ComfortFlex/Saver Fare: If passengers travel on an Economy Class with Flex/Family/ComfortFlex/Saver Fare, the airline allows them to carry up to 2 hand luggage. Aegean Airlines hand luggage size for all these fares must be at most the overall size dimension of 56 x 45 x 25 cm with a maximum weight of up to 8 kg. Aegean Airlines hand baggage policy states that passengers must ensure that the baggage fits inside the overhead bin and one personal item is under the seat in front of them.

Business Class: Passengers traveling in a Business Class will get an extra allowance for cabin and checked luggage. Passengers can carry a maximum of up to 2 pieces of bag. Infants: Passengers can travel with infants up to 2 years old and carry additional baggage. If you purchased a car seat for the infant, it’s mandatory to carry a car seat for the infant with a maximum size dimension of 40 x 40 cm for free. The baggage policy of Aegean Airlines offers additional benefits to passengers having Miles+Bonus Gold & Star Alliance Gold, where a maximum number of bags must be three pieces with a maximum baggage weight of 32 kg in Business Class. Economy ComfortFlex passengers can carry up to 2 bags with not more than 23 kg, and Economy Light & Flex cabin fare passengers, can carry up to one piece of the bag with not more than 23 kg of weight. Aegean Checked Baggage Allowance for Infant/Child

Infants: Passengers traveling with an infant under two years of age on Economy Light/Flex/Family cabin fare can only carry a collapsible stroller. Alternatively, Economy ComfortFlex fare passengers with infants of up to 2 years old are allowed to have a maximum of 1 piece of bag. The baggage must not exceed the weight of up to 23 kg with a maximum linear size dimensions of 158 cm. Business Class passengers can carry a maximum weight of up to 32 kg with a size of not more than 158 cm, plus a collapsible infant stroller.

Children: Children from 2 to 12 years of age traveling on an Economy ComfortFlex cabin fare can carry a maximum of 1 bag with not more than 23 kg of weight.

Additionally, the maximum linear size dimension must not exceed 158 cm. The airline allows Business Class passengers to carry up to 2 pieces of the bag with a maximum linear size dimension of up to 158 cm and not more than 32 kg of baggage weight. 

Children traveling on an Economy Light, Flex, Family, ComfortFlex, and Business cabin class can carry a collapsible stroller free of charge.

Exceptional Policies for the Flights to/from Saudi Arabia

The airline offers a different baggage policy for passengers from Saudi Arabia. Economy Class passengers can carry one bag with a maximum weight of not more than 30 kg. Similarly, Business Class passengers can carry up to 2 pieces of bags with a maximum baggage weight of at most 20 kg each. Also, these policies apply to passengers of all age groups.

Aegean Extra Baggage Allowance

Any baggage exceeding your cabin fare’s restricted limit will be considered extra luggage. Additionally, the passengers will have to pay extra fees to carry any additional luggage. Aegean Air Baggage Allowance for Special Baggage

Musical Instruments

The airline allows passengers to carry their musical instruments with them. The baggage policy of Aegean Airlines states that musical instruments can be carried as checked or cabin luggage and an amount will be charged for the transportation. Passengers must ensure that the instruments are correctly packed and that strings are loosened if they are stringed instruments to avoid any damage due to changes in temperature and pressure. Aegean Baggage Allowance for Pets

Aegean Airlines offers various options for passengers to travel with their pets. The allowance and charges depend on the size and breed of the pet and decide whether the pet can travel in a cabin or checked luggage.

Pet Inside The Cabin

Passengers are allowed to carry their pets inside the cabin. Each passenger can only have one pet inside a pet container or kennel. The maximum allowed weight for the pet, including the kennel, is 8 kg. The airline allows passengers to carry up to 2 animals of the same species each other in a single container/box. However, the pet’s weight, including the container, must be equal and not exceed 8 kg.

• The special pet container must not exceed the maximum dimension of 55 x 40 x 23 cm (40 x 25 x 25 cm for some flights).

Passengers can carry their pets as hold luggage if the animal is bigger and exceeds the overall maximum weight of up to 8 kg, including the container.
