Every time you travel anywhere around the globe, it will teach you some of the most helpful life lessons. This knowledge helps you better understand others as a human. But, carrying heavy luggage and facing problems at the airport due to excessive baggage weight can ruin all your plans. LATAM Airlines baggage allowance is one of the best luggage policies in the aviation industry.
You will have enough baggage allowance to carry the most essential stuff with you. Passengers can take the luggage depending on the cabin class booked. However, airlines allow passengers to carry one checked luggage with a maximum weight of up to 23 kg without paying any additional amount.
LATAM Airlines Carry On Baggage
Almost every airline allows passengers to keep their carry-on baggage inside the cabin. Many of them don’t even charge for the same. LATAM Airlines carry on size dimensions, allowing passengers to pack enough items inside the bag. Travelers can keep one bag and a personal item, such as a laptop bag, purse, or small briefcase. However, the allowance excludes outer garments and assistive devices as personal items.
In addition, passengers must ensure that the LATAM Airlines carry on size dimensions don’t exceed 55 x 35 x 25 cm (21 x 13 x 9 inches). Travelers flying in an Economy Class can keep a maximum baggage weight of 22 lbs (10 kg).
Similarly, Premium Business and Premium Economy class passengers can carry up to a maximum of 35 lbs (16 kg) of luggage weight.
Also, you can carry a personal item with a maximum size of 17.8 x 13.8 x 7.9 inches (45 x 35 x 20 cm), including the pockets, wheels, handles, etc. While carrying the carry-on luggage inside the cabin, passengers must ensure that the cabin luggage and personal items fit under the seat in front of you and inside the overhead bin.
Carry On Luggage Fees
If you booked a fare that doesn’t have cabin luggage allowance, you can separately purchase it from the “My Trips” section or at the airport. Also, the prices will be much lower if you buy bags of up to 10 kg as early as possible. Delay in purchasing LATAM Airlines cabin baggage allowance may cost you more.

LATAM Airlines Additional Fees for Interline Luggage
Many passengers often travel with flights that connect with another flight. This usually happens with International flights where passengers have to change the initial flight and board a different aircraft to reach the final destination. This is an Interline flight, and the excess baggage fees will be applicable if you booked the flight tickets from a different airline other than LATAM. If the hold baggage is dispatched by another airline, the fees will be according to that airline.
