Avelo Airlines Baggage Requirements For Carry On

Travelers are allowed to bring one personal item coupled with one cabin bag on board for a fee. No charges will apply as long as you are a military personnel traveling on active duty. Avelo Airlines baggage size for a cabin bag must be 22” L x 14” W x 9” H or 55 cm x 35 cm x 22 cm. Some examples would be a roller bag, clothing bag, large backpack, or a tote bag. You can store it in a stowage compartment just be careful while lifting the bag. Also, note that you have to include a carry-on bag during flight reservation, or else additional charges will apply. 

Whereas a personal item should be within 17” L x 13” W x 9” H or 43 cm x 33 cm x 22 cm. Such items include a handbag, briefcase, laptop bag, small backpack, or camera bag. A passenger must put it under the front seat. Aside from a cabin bag and a personal item, passengers can also carry outwear like a coat, jacket, wrap, etc., on board. 

Passengers must note that there might be slight changes in the Avelo Airlines baggage weight and size light as this varies based on aircraft type and selected seat. Also, the airline holds no responsibility for the luggage carried by the passengers. 

Assistive Devices Are NOT Included In Carry-on Allowance

The airline does not count manual wheelchairs, mobility aids, or similar assistive devices towards your carry-on allowance. Eligible passengers can carry such devices and other medical assistance items in addition to carry-on items. You may carry it in the flight cabin if you can stow it in compliance with the FAA regulations. Manual wheelchairs or any items that you cannot stow in the cabin space will be transported through the cargo compartment.

Thinking To Bring Musical or Special Equipment On Board?

Specific Avelo Airlines baggage rules apply when it comes to traveling with large musical instruments and special items that normally do not comply with the carry-on weight and dimensions. The following are a few guidelines you must know since these items require special handling:

• Carried instruments or equipment should be packed in a suitable travel case to avoid possible damage or injury to people around. 
• Passengers will have to make a prior reservation to carry such items. The charge will be equal to the lowest fare price available at that time. 
• Passengers are responsible for stowing the item in accordance with the FAA requirements. 

Avelo will not transport any carry-on item that proves to be harmful or dangerous to its passengers or crew members. The airline will accept bags with irregular shape or size up until they comply with the TSA security checkpoint guidelines. It should also fit the given space in the aircraft cabin. 

Conditions For Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs)

Small electronic devices that weigh under two pounds and can easily fit inside a seat pocket are allowed on board. These items should fit the space along with other items that you normally put in the seat pocket. Examples of such PEDs would be tablets, readers, cell phones, etc. You may use them during flights, but they should be in airplane mode at all times, including taxis, flight landing, and takeoff. In case you are using them during the mentioned durations, either hold the device or put it inside a personal item. 

Turn off the electronic devices that weigh two pounds or more and stow them inside the bag during taxi, flight landing, and takeoff. You can place them under the front seat or in the overhead compartment. You can use them when you are at least 10,000 feet above and as instructed by the flight crew member. 

Travel With Pets as Avelo Carry-on Baggage

Passengers are allowed to travel with their cats, dogs, rabbits, or birds on board the flights. No pet is accepted for transportation through the cargo compartment. The Avelo Airlines baggage size of the container should be 14” x 9” x 9.5”. The airline will only accept small domesticated animals or pets. Passengers are responsible for keeping their pets inside a hard-sided container within the permitted dimensions. You may stow the container under the front seat. Thus, passengers traveling with pets are not allowed to book a seat on the exit row due to the unavailability of a front seat. In addition, the airline will charge 125 USD pet fare per carrier for each way.

Avelo Airlines Baggage Rules for Checked Items

Avelo Airlines baggage weight for checked bags is 50 lbs or 22kg. If a bag is over the standard limit, the airline will charge an additional 100 USD fee to the passenger. On the other hand, the baggage size of the bag should be under 62 inches or 157 cm in total. Again, if a bag is over the Avelo Airlines baggage size, it will be subject to a 100 USD additional charge. Please note that the airline will not accept any bag over 70 lbs and 80 inches. Once you reach the airport, you can submit bags at the check-in counter up to two hours before the scheduled departure and up to 40 minutes prior to flight takeoff. List of Prohibited Items On Avelo Flights

As per the U.S. Transportation Security Administration, Avelo Airlines keeps a list of items that are not allowed in your checked or carry-on bags. Some items are allowed but have strict restrictions that are mandatory to follow. Items that are prohibited or restricted found in your bags will lead to penalty charges. In addition, the airline has the right to confiscate the item.

• Avalanche Airbag Packs having lithium batteries under 100Wh are permitted in checked and carry-on bags. 
• Batteries such as AA-9V, AAA, C, Carbon Zinc,  D Alkaline, Nickel metal hydride, and Silver oxide are allowed inside checked and carry-on items.
• Damaged or defective batteries are not allowed. 
• Lithium batteries under 100-watt-hour ratings. However, e-cigarettes and personal vaporizers are prohibited in checked bags. 
• Loose lithium batteries are not permitted in checked bags, but you can carry them in your carry-on bags. 
• Each passenger can pack up to 5.4 pounds or 2.5kg of dry ice in checked and carry-on bags. 
• Firearms like sports rifles, shotguns, and handguns can be accepted as checked baggage items.
