Lynx Air Baggage Allowance 2024 Carry on Policy & Fees

Lynx Air baggage allowance is designed to ensure each passenger travels with a required number of bags. Its policies for carry-on items and checked baggage give you clarity into what you should pack for the trip. There are certain articles that are strictly prohibited on board, so avoid packing them. Lynx Air Carry-On Baggage Dimension

The accepted Lynx Air baggage size for carry-on is 23 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm or 9” x 15.75” x 21.5”. This can be a small suitcase or a small duffel bag. Passengers are instructed to stow their carry-on in the overhead storage bin. Unlike many airlines, Lynx Air does not offer cabin bags free of charge. Passengers have to purchase it like checked bags. 

However, you do get one free personal item included in your fare. Make sure it measures within 15 cm x 33 cm x 43 cm or 6” x 13”  17”. This can be your purse, laptop bag, small briefcase, backpack, or tote bag. These items should fit under space under the front seat. In case you are flying with an infant under two years old, you can pack a diaper bag free of charge. You can bring it in place of a personal item. 

Lynx Cabin Bag Fee

If you wish to bring more onboard, you can add additional bags for a fee. We recommend purchasing extra bags online in advance for a discount of up to 33%.  You can add a cabin item to your allowance during reservation or later via the “Manage Booking” section. The table below reflects Lynx Air baggage fees according to flight distance and the point of purchase. 

Please note that these charges may vary based on the applicable tax. Also, these fees are charged in local currency for flights departing outside Canada.  

Lynx Air Checked Baggage

Lynx Air checked baggage weight, which should be under 23kh or 50 lbs. When adding all sides, the sum should be equal to or less than 158 cm or 62 inches. This can be a larger suitcase or a duffel bag. No passengers are allowed to carry their checked baggage on board due to its large size. Therefore, we recommend packing essential items like medicines, phones, laptops, food, etc., in a carry-on and not in checked bags. 

 As per the Lynx Air Baggage Allowance, a passenger can check in a bag for a fee as long as it is up to the applied restrictions. In case you are traveling with an infant under two years old, you can check in a car seat for free and one additional item like a stroller or a playpen for a fee. Additional items will lead to regular charges as follows:

• Web check-in = 29.99 USD to 34.49 USD
• At the airport desk = 39.99 USD to 45.19 USD

Lynx Air Baggage Fees

Lynx Air baggage policy states that a passenger can submit checked bags at the counter after paying a certain fee. This amount is based on the traveled destination, selected fare, number of bags, and the point of purchase. 

Bags Over Lynx Air Checked Baggage Weight & Size

Bags exceeding Lynx Air checked baggage weight and size limits are termed as overweight and oversized, respectively. The airline does not encourage bringing bags over the permitted allowance. However, such bags are accepted in exchange for a fee. Lynx Airlines charges around 99 USD at the airport separately for bags over 23kg and 158 cm. This procedure is carried up to a certain limit. A bag can be a maximum of 45 kg or less and 208 cm or less.
