Published on January 18, 2024

Air Transat Baggage Allowance offers a travel-friendly option for your memorable trips. Be it checked baggage or a cabin item, you can carry it all with the airline’s flexible policies. In addition to normal luggage allowance, passengers can also bring personal items free of charge on board. However, there are certain Air Transat baggage requirements that every bag should meet. These restrictions change according to the type of ticket purchased, selected routes, and chosen travel class. Every passenger has to comply with the baggage policy to steer clear of excess fees.

Air Transat Carry On Baggage Allowance

Air Transat Carry On Baggage

Air Transat Baggage Allowance distributes one cabin bag to every passenger. It should measure within 23 cm x 40 cm x 51 cm (9”x 16” 20”). Ensure that you pack your bag lightly so that it can fit the upper compartment with no assistance. Any bag that exceeds the overall size and permitted number of bags will be subject to additional charges. In most cases, the airline staff will ask you to submit the bag at the check-in counter if it is not up to the Air Transat baggage requirements.

In addition, passengers may carry one personal item free of charge. It should be smaller than the carry-on bag. Ensure that it is within 12.7 cm x 43.2 cm x 30.5 cm (5”x 17” x 12”). A personal item can be a small handbag, purse, clothing item, or anything that fits the stated dimensions.

You have to store all the travel essentials along with duty-free purchases in your cabin bag. Just make sure the Air Transat carry on baggage weight is light so that you can handle it without assistance. Note that some items are restricted inside the flight cabin. In addition, items that have the potential to be used as weapons or can endanger the safety of passengers are strictly prohibited. You may bring Epi-Pens or hypodermic needles, but they should be used for personal medical purposes.

Restrictions of Liquid-based Items

Passengers are allowed to carry liquid-based items inside the flight cabin only if they meet the Air Transat baggage requirements. Every container should contain a maximum quantity of liquid of up to 100 mL. These containers should be kept in a clear, resealable, and closed plastic bag. The bag has to be under one liter. Air Transat Baggage Allowance lets passengers carry one such bag inside a flight cabin. However, if the plastic bag is colored or opaque, the airline will not permit transportation.

Of course, there are exceptions as well. Baby food, milk, and medicines can exceed the above-mentioned requirements. Additionally, passengers can add any liquid, gel, or aerosol-based items purchased at the airport after clearing the security screening checkpoint.
